Dan Cornwell

Zoning and Floodplain Administrator

Nance County adopted zoning regulations in 1999 with the goal of ensuring the health, safety, order, and general welfare of the county. Regulations mitigate damage and injury from fire and flood; they lessen congestion on the county’s roads; they prevent the overcrowding of lands; they facilitate in the adequate provision of services like utilities, schools, and parks; and the list goes on. Nance County’s Zoning Regulations, formulated in conjunction with Nance County’s Comprehensive Development Plan, prepare us for a prosperous future by establishing standards for deliberate and sustainable growth and development.

This website relates to zoning for rural Nance County. For information on zoning in the city of Fullerton and within Fullerton’s 1-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction, contact the city administrator at 308-536-2428. For information on zoning in the city of Genoa and within Genoa’s 1-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction, contact the city administrator at 402-993-2330.
