NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASES

Public notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 77-1633, that a representative of the following political subdivisions will meet on the 23rd of September 2026 at 6:05 p.m., at Nance County Courthouse, Courtroom, Fullerton, NE for the purpose of conducting a joint public hearing on property tax increases proposed by the subdivisions:

Fullerton Public Schools, (308) 536-2431, property tax requested: $5,339,124

City of Genoa, (402) 993-2330, property tax requested: $352,715.15

The political subdivisions listed above shall make presentations at hearing; there is no item on the agenda for this joint public meeting other than presentations and public input, this will not be a question and answer session, everyone in attendance will need to sign in and state if they would like to speak on political subdivision’s intent to increase its property tax request by a percentage greater than the “allowable growth percentage” defined in § 77-1633.
